MrBeast Offers Over $20 Billion to Buy TikTok

YouTuber MrBeast has started bidding for TikTok.

A group of American investors led by MrBeast has offered more than $20 billion. The price MrBeast is offering is far below market value. However, it is expected to go up as the bid is competitive.

Along with MrBeast, the group is led by Jesse Timmley, founder of the website Employer, along with Roblox CEO David Batzucci and Anchorage Digital CEO Nathan McColl.

MrBeast is competing with Project Liberty, a group of LA Dodger owner Frank Mascot and Shark Tank star Calvin O’Leary, for $20 billion. MrBeast’s bid is significantly higher than Project Liberty’s.

Project Liberty is looking to buy TikTok for up to $25 billion. There is no word yet on how much Elon Musk and Microsoft will offer in the bidding war for TikTok. There are many people interested in buying TikTok, but it is unclear how ByteDance will decide.

Trump has said he would be happy if Americans owned 50% of TikTok in the US. ByteDance has given TikTok a 75-day period to decide on the deal.
