Another Chinese AI model that claims to be better than DeepAI, which has taken the AI world by storm, has been released.
Chinese e-commerce technology conglomerate Alibaba has released a new AI model called Qwen 2.5 – Max. The AI was released on the first day of the Chinese New Year, when everyone in China takes a break from work and reunites with their families.
Alibaba has officially announced that this AI outperforms leading AI systems such as GPT -4, DeepSeek -V3 and L1ama -3.1 in key benchmarks. Qwen outperforms DeepSeek V3 in most tests, including code generation and multi-tasking.
Qwen 2.5 – Max was trained on more than 20 trillion data tokens. Developers can use Qwen 2.5’s API on Alibaba Cloud, and Qwen 2.5 – Max can also be accessed through Alibaba’s AI platform, Qwen Chat.
By 2025, AI chatbot competition will become even more intense. While US AI companies are spending billions on building AI models, Chinese AI companies are releasing low-cost AI.
TikTok’s parent company ByteDance has also upgraded its AI models, Doubao and Jimeng, to flagship AI models. Doubao 1.5 Pro has even outperformed OpenAI 01 on the AIME benchmark.
